Year 3
Welcome to Year 3!
We are looking forward to an exciting year. It is quite a big change to move from the Infants to the Juniors, and Mrs Southern, Ms Conroy, Mrs Bownes, Mr Thomson our Key Stage 2 teaching assistants and myself are keen to make the transition as smooth as possible for every child.
My aim as class teacher is to create a nurturing, supportive environment and encourage children's independence and confidence as they begin working within the Junior school.
As parents, you can support your child by ensuring they take responsibility for their belongings, bringing book bags to school every day and ensure they come into school P.E. ready on Tuesday. It is important for children to have an established routine at home which allows time for homework and shared reading.
- Spelling tests will be on Wednesday mornings.
- Times table challenges will be on Wednesday mornings.
- P.E. is on a Tuesday afternoon. Please make sure your child is P.E. ready so that they can take part. They will need a white t-shirt, black shorts and pumps or trainers. All jewellery must be removed by parents before they come to school.
